The selected individual will assist the TARPS Lab Team Manager in the execution of all aspects of acoustic sensor certification. Will work as part of a team that processes, analyzes, and reports on acoustic sensor certification data. Must be able to work on a team and also be an independent self-starter. Should be able to oversee execution of analysis and report development tasks as directed by the TARPS Lab Team Manager. The selected individual will:
Acquire underwater acoustic data using state-of-the-art data processing equipment and algorithms in a post processing lab environment.
Perform precise analysis of acquired underwater acoustic data.
Generate concise written technical reports from resulting data analysis.Qualifications:
Requires minimum 5-8 years experience in US Navy as a submarine sonar technician or similar experience.
