Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
Program Specific Description: The NUO program is a contract providing SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) services to the IC customer with a focus on RF satellite communications. NUO contract support is part of the customer team focused on all aspects of the systems life cycle including conops development, capturing requirements, working with developers to deliver capability, testing to ensure capabilities meet requirements, transition to operations and operations support. The program is comprised of 90 FTE supporting several locations in the Northern Virginia region.
Specific Job Description: This position is part of a team of SETA working architecture and enterprise systems engineering for the customer's wide ranging RF satellite communication systems. The position will have various SE assignments related to the overall management of the customer's architecture and acquisition roadmaps, including developing architecture products to support customer decisions. Work will include supporting SE efforts on enterprise requirements, future systems and serving as a liason to current customer programs as they evolve. Other duties would include supporting the customer's Engineering Review Board (ERB) and various temporary assignments to support Quick Response engineering projects.Qualifications
Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
8 to 10 years with BS or 6 to 8 years with MS or 3 to 5 years with a PHd.
(4 years of relevant experience in an RF communications development/acquisition program can be substituted)
Technical BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree.
The ability to work well within a team of engineers
Demonstrated success in working with government customers.
Experience in architecture products development
Experience with Commercial/Government acquisition of satellite/ground segment hardware/software or satellite based special communications field set hardware/software.
BS in Electricial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience as a SETA with an IC customer working with requirements and other related readiness processes.
Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.
