The Intelligence Researcher is responsible for researching, analyzing, and collating multi-intelligence information to produce a lead tender to pass to collections and operations counterparts for evaluation and operational impact. Serve as subject matter expert in the intelligence analysis field supporting a DoD customer, with expertise in all-source and open source tools and research. Responsible for final review of intelligence reports and prompt delivery to the customer at all levels. 

Intelligence Researcher

  • Provide operational support to Department of Defense (DoD) HUMINT Operations. 
  • Perform all-source intelligence research to identify potential overt HUMINT leads and produce lead-related documents for operations division consideration.
  • Submit Name Trace and Deconfliction requests as required.
  • Produce and provide briefings to wide-variety of audiences.
  • Respond to RFIs.
  • Produce, edit, or quality control hard copy and electronic documents.
  • Brief and provide best practices training to field and forward personnel; and, on the job training to incoming division personnel as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph. Ideal candidate will possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • Have a Bachelor’s in Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Law Enforcement or other related topic.
  • At least six (6) years of applicable experience plus a Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • Possess the technical skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish the work tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Possess analytic contacts throughout the IC and a high level of subject matter expertise for their assigned area of responsibility or target set.
  • Possess the ability to:
    • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
    • Clearly and concisely express multifaceted concepts
    • Develop ideas in a logical sequence leading to a validated conclusion.
  • Have working knowledge and experience with the basic personal computer, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
