Responsibilities

Perspecta Labs is seeking a C4ISR Program Director to lead the design, development, sales and support of C4ISR products and related services.  This management position, which can be based from NJ, VA or MD, will report directly to the President of Perspecta Labs. The C4ISR Program Director will be responsible for leading product development activities from identifying markets, and determining customer requirements to the design, implementation, validation, production, promotion, sales, delivery, support and sustainment of the products. This position will work within Perspecta Labs, an R&D organization, to prioritize promising prototypes and develop and field successful C4ISR products, with particular focus on cybersecurity, communications and ISR for weapons platforms.  The C4ISR Program Director will establish internal and external relationships and partnerships for product development and lead commercialization efforts, from tests, trials, and validation to marketing, promotion, pricing and sales.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the C4ISR market, technologies, and players, including evolving customer needs, emerging solutions and new technologies.  He or she will have extensive experience across the product development lifecycle, including definition and execution of effective strategies to design, develop, launch and maintain profitable products and services.  He or she will have extensive knowledge of and senior contacts across the industry, both in government agencies and in solutions providers, and will be able to rapidly develop partnerships and negotiate agreements to create and offer end-to-end solutions. He or she will have deep experience with product development, from planning, pricing and promotion to execution, maturation and lifecycle management and support.


Qualifications

Requires BA/BS with 12 to15 years, with at least six plus years as a manager. 

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in C4ISR product development in the Defense and Intelligence markets with a track record of successfully developing and fielding products supporting C4ISR and weapons platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical plans for design, implementation, manufacture and delivery of successful C4ISR products
  • Deep technical knowledge of C4ISR, cyber security, and weapons platforms
  • Strong contacts with key DoD customers
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing external business relationships with hardware vendors, platform providers, resellers, systems integrators and others to deliver solutions in the Defense and Intelligence markets
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, serving and growing markets for C4ISR products, including customization, integration, installation, training, delivery, and product support
  • US citizen with an active Secret Clearance; Top Secret Clearance is desirable
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and teaming skills
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and willingness to travel as needed

This position has the flexibility to be in either VA, DC, MD or NJ. (Metro area)
