The individual shall provide communications and public affairs support for the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) National Coordination Office (NCO) which will include assisting in the planning, development, and execution of long-term communications planning and outreach strategies in support of the NITRD and the NCO. The individual will support the NCO’s efforts coordinating and collaborating among its various public, private, and government stakeholders.
This will include development of news releases and preparation of written material for dissemination and publication, including social media content, website content, annual reports, presentations, and other related public information. This will also include supporting communications between the media and high-level government stakeholders.
Requirements: Ten years’ experience in communications or public affairs. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills. Excellent writing and editing skills. Extensive knowledge of office hardware and software used for communications and social media.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university which provides sub-stantial knowledge of the information sciences.
Experience: Six years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task. Education may be substituted with 10 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task.
